Brightspace: Set Accommodations for Students in Brightspace

Overview

Accommodations are a means of allowing individual students extra time to complete a quiz or assignment. For purposes of this document, quiz also means test or exam. This page details how to set up accommodations in Brightspace.

Instructions

To set accommodations on a Brightspace Quiz, you can set it up through the Classlist or within a Quiz.  If you set accommodations through the Brightspace Classlist, then the accommodations for that student will carry forward on all Quizzes in your course.  If you set the accommodations within the Quiz tool, the specific accommodations will apply only for the student(s) on that specific quiz.  Note: Special Access settings on an individual quiz will override accommodations set up through the Classlist.

To set accommodations on a Brightspace Assignment, you will need to set this up through the Assignments tool
