Overview
This article provides instructions for connecting to VUConnect on Windows devices.
Instructions
- Ensure you are already connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you are on campus, connect to VUGuest or eduroam.
- Go to vuconnect.villanova.edu, then confirm that your operating system was identified correctly. If it wasn't, use the Select your device drop-down to change it.

- Click the Register Your Device button to download the SecureW2 JoinNow onboarding client.

- Once the download is complete, open WiFi_Villanova_University_Wrapper.exe from your browser's download queue or your Downloads folder.

- If asked whether to allow SecureW2 JoinNow to make changes, click Yes.

- If asked whether to allow SecureW2_JoinNow to access your location, click Yes.
- The onboarding client will instruct you to log in through your browser. Click Next.

- You'll be directed to a Microsoft login page in your browser. Enter your userid@villanova.edu, then click Next.

- Enter your password, then click Sign in.

- When prompted, approve the sign in request in Microsoft Authenticator.

- The onboarding client will display various status messages as it enrolls and issues the certificate, configures your device, connects to the network and authenticates.

- If you're off campus or otherwise not in range of VUConnect, the onboarding client will indicate that configuration succeeded, but that you're not in range. Click Continue.
- Your device is now registered on VUConnect. Click Done.

- VUConnect will connect automatically and appear in your device's known Wi-Fi networks under Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
