VUConnect: Android

Overview

This article provides instructions for connecting to VUConnect on Android.

Instructions

1. Ensure you are already connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you are on campus, connect to VUGuest or eduroam.
2. Go to vuconnect.villanova.edu, then confirm that your operating system was identified correctly. If it wasn't, use the Select your device drop-down to change it.

3. Confirm the source drop-down is set to Google Play, then click Download.

4. You should be directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page in the Google Play Store. Click Install.

5. Once the Google Play Store finishes installing the app, click Open.

6. You'll be directed to a Microsoft login page in your browser. Enter your userid@villanova.edu, then click Next.

7. Enter your password, then click Sign in.

8. When prompted, approve the sign in request in Microsoft Authenticator.

9. In your browser, click Continue to return to the app.

Note: If the app doesn't reopen after clicking Continue, return to the download page from Step 3 and click Register Your Device.

10. The app will provide instructions on how to respond to the next pop-up window. Click Next.
11. In the pop-up window, click Save ("Save this network?") or Allow ("Allow suggested Wi-Fi networks?").

12. You'll receive confirmation that your device is now registered on VUConnect. You can close the app. VUConnect should now appear in your device's saved Wi-Fi networks.
