Overview
This article provides instructions for connecting to VUConnect on MacOS devices.
Instructions
- Ensure you are already connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you are on campus, connect to VUGuest or eduroam.
- Using Safari, go to vuconnect.villanova.edu, then confirm that your operating system was identified correctly. If it wasn't, use the Select your device drop-down to change it.
- Select "Register Your Device"
- This will open a web page in Safari that will prompt you for permission to download. Select "Allow".
- Once the download completes, double click on the file from the "downloads" bar in Safari.
- This will open a dialogue box called "WiFi_JoinNow_Wrapper". Click on the "Secure W2" icon.
- When prompted, select "Open".
- This will open a new dialogue box. Select "Next".
- Select "OK" to allow the W2 Wrapper to access your web browser.
- Sign in with your Villanova SSO credentials.
- This will download the VUConnect certificate. Navigate to your Mac settings and select the "Privacy and Security" tab. Then double click on the VUConnect Certificate.
- Select "Install" when prompted.
- After the certificate finishes installing, your Mac will automatically join VUConnect.
