Brightspace: Fall 2026 Support Options for Faculty

Overview

Looking for help with Brightspace? University Technology Services (UTS) offers multiple support options to help you learn, build, and manage your Brightspace courses. Whether you prefer workshops, one-on-one assistance, or self-paced resources, support is available to meet your needs throughout the Fall semester.

 

Requirements

No special requirements. Brightspace support is available to all Villanova faculty, staff, and instructors.

Instructions

Attend Brightspace Workshops

Participate in structured learning sessions to build your Brightspace skills.

  • Focused Workshops (Assignments, Quizzes, Grades, Discussions)
    • What is it: 45–60 minute Zoom sessions focused on a specific Brightspace tool.
    • What do I get out of it: A guided overview of features with time for questions.

  • Brightspace Open Labs
    • What is it: 60 minute drop-in session with no set agenda.
    • What do I get out of it: Ask questions or work on your course with a member of University Technology Services available for help.

Brightspace Office Hours (Zoom)
  • When: Now through September 4
  • What is it: Drop-in Zoom sessions with a member of University Technology Services.

In-Person Campus Support
  • When: August 12 – September 4 (For exact days, times, and locations visit the Brightspace Workshop Calendar)
  • Where: SAC, Mendel, Bartley, Driscoll, Drosick, and Tagaste Hall
  • What is it: Walk-up, in-person Brightspace support from members of University Technology Services.
  • What do I get out of it: Immediate, face-to-face assistance with your Brightspace questions.

D2L-Brightspace will be Villanova University's new learning management system (LMS) for all courses starting with the Summer 2026 semester and can be accessed at brightspace.villanova.edu. D2L-Brightspace allows faculty and students to access course content, complete learning activities such as assignments & quizzes, provide grades & feedback, as well as offer additional modern, innovative learning technologies to use in courses.
