Academic Application: VHL Central

VHL Central is the digital learning platform from Vista Higher Learning (VHL), the leading publisher of world language instructional materials in higher education. VHL Central delivers interactive eTextbooks, audio and video language activities, grammar tutorials, writing assignments, and auto-graded practice for Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, and other world languages.

Faculty (World Language Instructors): Set up a VHL Central course for your adopted Vista Higher Learning title and pair it with your Villanova LMS course. Assign activities, set due dates, and monitor individual and class performance. Grades sync automatically to Brightspace.

Students: Access listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar exercises through the LMS course link. Grades sync automatically to your Villanova LMS gradebook.

Through the VHL Central link inside your Villanova Brightspace course (single sign-on from the LMS). Faculty also manage courses directly at vhlcentral.com.

A separate VHL Central account is required. Faculty and students create a VHL account using their Villanova email address. After this one-time account creation and LMS linking step, subsequent sessions are handled via SSO from the LMS course link.
