Overview
This article provides guidance on unlocking and sharing a Mediasite video recording, referred to as a "presentation." You can share a Mediasite presentation in several ways: by distributing a direct link, embedding the video on a webpage, or posting it to a learning management system (LMS).
Mediasite offers flexible sharing options, including QR codes, to cater to different audience types.
Examples of audience types include students, faculty, external guests, or specific individuals at Villanova.
Instructions
There are three steps to sharing a Mediasite presentation:
- Set the viewing permissions (who can see it)
- Copy the link to your video
- Distributing the link to your audience
Step 1 of 3: Set the viewing permissions (who can see it)
1. Log in to your MyMediasite account with your Villanova credentials: https://vums-web.villanova.edu/mediasite/mymediasite/
2. Select the presentation from your list of available video content by single-clicking on its title.
3. Next, locate the “Who Can View?” slider within the right-hand menu (see image below).
4. Click and hold the slider with your mouse cursor to adjust it to the setting that best suits your specific needs (the majority of Villanova content is set to My Organization). To understand what each setting does, please refer to the article, "Mediasite: Understanding "Who Can View?" settings".
Step 2 of 3: Copy the link to your video
1. Click the Share Presentation button in the right-hand menu.
2. After the Share Presentation pop-up window appears, copy the full Quick Link provided.
Step 3 of 3: Distributing the link to your audience
