Mediasite: Sharing classroom lecture recordings with your students

Overview

After instructors have opted into Classroom Lecture Capture (CLC) for their course, they must complete the following steps:

  1. Set the permissions for their lecture recordings
  2. Choose a distribution method that best meets their students' needs and aligns with how they wish to use the recorded content in their course.

Instructions

Step 1 of 2: Adjust the visibility settings for your lecture recordings
Step 2 of 2: Share a link to your Mediasite recordings

Known Issues & Troubleshooting

  • I have recordings, but my channel is empty: Are the lecture recordings still set to Only Me? Private recordings will not display on a channel.
  • My student is getting an error message when they access my content: Sometimes, passing between the LMS and Mediasite can cause an authentication mismatch. Ask the student to paste the Mediasite link into an incognito/private browser tab and click "Enter". They should be redirected through Villanova's single sign-on and have access to view the content.
  • My Channel order (Newest to Oldest): By default, Mediasite channels arrange recordings from Most Recent to Oldest. If preferred, this order can be changed by request to either "A to Z" or "Oldest to Newest".
