Mediasite: Sharing classroom lecture recordings with your students

As long as you did not request that your recordings be automatically viewable during opt-in, you do not need to take any action.

Mediasite recordings are private by default and can only be viewed by you unless you choose to make them public. If you plan to share your recordings eventually, please choose a sharing method from the options below.

I only want to share a specific recording:

Sometimes an instructor may wish to share only specific recordings. In such cases, we recommend copying the link to the specific lecture recording and posting it on the LMS course page under that week’s module or emailing it to the relevant student(s).

I only want to share to specific students:

There are many instances where you may want to share a Mediasite presentation with only a specific individual or group (e.g., a student misses class due to illness, academic accommodation purposes, course design team collaboration). To do this, you need to apply a viewing permission setting called Only Shared users.

I want to share all of my recordings:

If you would like to share all semester recordings with your students, please display the link to your Mediasite channel prominently on your LMS course page. This allows students to access your content with a single link, eliminating confusion and saving you time (you won't need to unlock each week's recordings).

Your Mediasite channel link can be found in your Classroom Lecture Capture (CLC) opt-in confirmation email (see image below):
