Villanova University supports a variety of learning technologies that integrate with Brightspace (learning management system), which provide additional collaboration, communication, interactive, and assessment tools for learning.
Technology Services can provide training and assistance in using the following tools: VoiceThread, YellowDig, Respondus Lockdown Browser/Monitor/Quiz Editor, and Student Response System account registration (Poll Everywhere, TurningTechnologies, and TopHat)
VoiceThread - an interactive discussion tool that allows students and instructors to engage in an asynchronous discussion using a variety of communication mediums that include, video/audio/screen capture/pictures/screen annotation. Available through every Brightspace course.
YellowDig - a social learning community that lets faculty and students quickly share items of interest, assess student participation, and drive class discussions within your private community. Available through every Brightspace course.
Respondus LockDown Browser - a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within a learning management system as students take a Brightspace exam.
Respondus Monitor - a asychronous proctoring tool, which works with Respondus LockDown Browser and Brightspace exam, uses a student’s webcam and microphone, as well as analytics to help deter cheating during non-proctored exam.
Respondus 4.0 - quiz authoring tool to help faculty convert an exam currently in a word document and publish it directly into Brightspace.
Poll Everywhere, TurningTechnologies, and TopHat - student response technologies ("polling", "clickers").

This service is available to all Faculty, Staff, or anyone who has instructor-level access to a Brightspace course.
